What’s that!?? Over there in the tall grass! It’s the JUMP Society Summer Deadline and it’s creeping up on you like a jungle cat. Time to get rolling on those short films because it’s going to be July before you can say “Arrrgh! My ARM!!! A giant cat from hell is eating my arm!”

Submissions are due on July 1st this year.. unless you’re looking to get your face chewed off by the fierce jungle cat of submission deadlines.

The JUMP Society Visits Seattle!

If you or anyone you know is going to be in Seattle on the 30th please let them know we’ll be putting on a special screening of the JUMP Society traveling road show extravaganza. The collection features short films by Aaron Suring, Alex Nelson, Arlo Midgett, Edra Morledge, Greg Chaney, Joe Sears, Joel Bennett, Kevin Fremlin, Lou Logan, Pat Race, Paul Disdier, Roblin Davis, Sarah Elliott and many other local artists.

Film School Gumbo

I just finished up a three week screenwriting/directing intensive in Seattle and I’ll boil it all down into an informal report when I return. I encourage anyone interested in storytelling to come sponge up the residue. Sharing what I learned will give me a chance to cement some of my knowledge and pass it on to anyone else who might be interested. The informal lecture will take place on Tuesday, June 6th at 6:00pm.

Also if there are any film school students returning to Juneau who want to share their experience please contact me. Bryce? Patty?

The show in Portland was fun and we met some new friends through the experience so we’ll be taking the JUMP Society roadshow down to Eugene and putting on a show at the DIVA Center.
